Your solution: The Zero Pollution Action Plan (ZPAP), launched by the EU Commission in 2021, embraces a “Zero Pollution Ambition” (ZPA) which it defines as: “the zero pollution vision for 2050: a Healthy Planet for All: Air, water and soil pollution is reduced to levels no longer considered harmful to health and natural ecosystems and that respect the boundaries our planet can cope with, thus creating a toxic-free environment” . The ambition can be strengthen through stronger commitments and bolstering of its elements as prevention over clean up. A concrete solution is the inclusion of a reference to the existing zero pollution ambition in all relevant legislation and policies, with the obligation to deliver on it.
